Joseph Berthold Home

Alexander McNair, Missouri's first governor, owned this lot as well as all others in block 18. Joseph Berthold, a german immigrant, built this home in 1850. He was believed to be a german brew master, employed at the Spring Brewery, 300 Water St. (written by Archie Scott)
